Service Learning Project 2010
F.3 to 5 students are invited to join the captioned programme jointly organized by Intensified Learning Opportunity Programme (ILOP) 14 of the University of Hong Kong, Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) and Caritas Mok Cheung Sui Kun Community Centre.
The objective of the Project this year is to raise public awareness in elderly living conditions as well as environmental protection. Participants will be involved in distribution of energy-saving light bulbs to the single elderly in the Central and Western Districts and conducting interviews with them to find out the actual living conditions of the elderly in the community. Students also have a chance to design sculptures for a public exhibition by using the traditional light bulbs collected from the elderly households.
The Activity Schedule and the Application Form can be found in the attachments. Students are required to form groups of 4 persons each. Each group will need to send their 4 completed application forms together (one form for each member) to reach the following address no later than 24 Feb 10:
