There will be a flag selling activity for the Society for Community Organization (Soco) from 7:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. in Central. The following is the appeal of the organization.
The Society for Community Organization (Soco)
Our organization was founded over 37 years ago to champion the rights of the grassroots of society in Hong Kong. During the 1970s, driven by a strong commitment to promote community development, a group of social-minded missionaries came together to start this organization. Since then, our cause has been mainly financed through donations from overseas churches, the Community Chest, government and individuals
Our Flag Day will be held on 7 April 2010 (Wednesday). Please be assured that funds raised will be used solely for serving the disadvantaged groups locally, including human rights education, children’s project, rights of the elderly, new arrivals and patients’ rights.
We hope to achieve a target of $800,000 so that our cause to combat local poverty can be sustained. We are honoured and very much indebted to the famous cartoonist Zunzi for his generous support in providing free designing service for this event.
We are facing difficulties to recruit volunteers. We strongly request you/your organization/your company to join as our volunteers for the flag day to show your care and concern to the underpirivileged.

For students who have reached the age of 14 before 7th April 2010
1. Find yourself A PARTNER who is at least 14 years of age by then,
2. Fill in the enrollment form in the Ms Judy Tsui’s mail box outside Staff Room A by 3:45p.m., 2nd March, 2010. Please replace the enrollment form properly after signing up.
For students who have NOT reached the age of 14 before 7th April 2010 AND wish to join the flag selling activity:
Your parent(s) are required to participate with you in the activity. Make sure your parents can go with you before you sign up.
