Absent for the HK Schools Music Festival (from 1st March to 31st March 2010)
Dear students,
Concerning absence and justified absence for the HK Schools Music Festival, please note the following:
Justified absence:
1. If you are members of the School Choirs, Orchestra, Chinese Orchestra and Concert Band and participate in the class or ensemble sections under the school name, you have no need to present any parent’s letter. Name lists for the music festival will be posted up in the staff room and staff bulletin but you need to inform your class teachers the date and time of the music festival at least two days before the music festival.
2. If you participate in any solo, duet, trio, quartet or ensemble classes under your own name, you need to present parent’s approval on the student handbook together with the name list of the group (with your name on) that you are participating to your class teacher at least two days before the music festival. All name lists can be downloaded from the website of the festival: http://www.hksmsa.org.hk. Please also bring your student handbook and name list to Miss Cherry Tsui of the office for confirmation.
3. If you are the accompanist of any solo, duet or ensemble groups, you also need to present parent’s approval on the student handbook together with the name list of the group that you will be accompanying to your class teacher at least two days before the music festival. Please also bring your student handbook and name list to Miss Cherry Tsui of the office for confirmation.
Absence:
1. If you are the accompanist of the other students or friends who are not students of St. Mary’s, it will be classified as absence. Please also bring your student handbook and name list to Miss Cherry Tsui of the office for confirmation.
